Sam Barrie

Senior Financial Consultant

I come from an Economics background having studied the subject from the age of 14. I graduated in 2007 with an honours degree in Business Economics with Accounting and began my working life as a cost controller in the UK. In 2009, I opted for a change of both career and continent when I moved to Malaysia to work in financial services. I have been in Kuala Lumpur ever since.

I am a fully UK qualified Financial Planner holding the Diploma in Regulated Financial Planning (DipPFS) through the Chartered Insurance Institute (CII), as well as the Certificate in Securities Advice and Dealing (CertPFS (Securities)) and Certificate in Discretionary Investment Management (CertPFS (DM)). I continue to build my credentials each year as I work towards achieving chartered status.

I am an active member of the CII, Personal Finance Society, and Malaysian Insurance Institute (MII) and adhere strictly to their codes of conduct and best industry practices when dealing with my clients.

I have built up a list of over 100 clients based all over the world, and I actively manage their financial affairs on a regular basis. I appreciate the importance of personal contact and I encourage clients to contact me any time with their enquiries.

I also write blogs for the Infinity website on a range of financial topics that apply to expatriates and I am a regular contributor to two local magazines.
